Community Advocacy

•Community advocacy is carried out by members of the community. It is also known as Generic or Non-statutory Advocacy

•Peer advocacy can also take place in the community, this is an advocate who has been through similar life experiences

•There is an increasing need for Community Advocacy. Advocacy Focus works hard to fundraise to provide it

•This training is only one part of our Community Advocacy work

•Anybody can support and deliver Community Advocacy

•Community Advocacy encourages people to support each other and improves outcomes for everyone.
