Safeguarding

Statement

At Advocacy Focus, the safety, wellbeing, and rights of the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.

Safeguarding

We are committed to protecting adults, children and young people from abuse, neglect, exploitation and harm, and we take all safeguarding concerns seriously.

Our people receive regular safeguarding training and follow clear procedures to make sure concerns are reported promptly and acted upon appropriately. We work closely with local authorities, health services, the police and other agencies where this is needed to help keep people safe.

Where possible, we support people to make their own choices and be involved in decisions about their safety, while balancing this with our duty to protect people who may be at risk of harm.

Reporting a safeguarding concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about an adult, child or young person, you should report this directly to the relevant Local Authority Safeguarding Team in the area where the person lives.

If the person is in immediate danger or a crime has been committed, call 999.

If you are currently receiving support from Advocacy Focus and wish to discuss a safeguarding concern relating to your support, please contact us:
