Leading the Way: Leanne Takes Home the Leader Award

Everyone at Advocacy Focus is delighted to celebrate the success of our Services Director, Leanne Hignett, who has won the Leader Award at this year’s Lancashire Business View Sub36 Awards.

Leanne is passionate about making a difference and is a hugely valued member of our team. She leads with compassion, brings out the best in others, and is always focused on improving the lives of the people and communities we support. We could not be prouder to see her recognised in this way.

The Sub36 Awards celebrate young professionals who are making a real impact across Lancashire through their leadership, innovation, and commitment. This year’s event brought together 67 finalists from 48 businesses, with more than 250 people attending to celebrate their achievements.

Speaking about the award, Leanne said:

“Winning the Sub36 Leader Award was a complete surprise and a huge honour. There were so many talented and deserving finalists, so to be recognised among such an inspiring group makes this award incredibly special. I’m deeply grateful for the recognition and very proud to receive it.”

For us, this award is about more than professional success. It recognises the kindness, dedication, and hard work that Leanne brings to her role every day. Whether supporting colleagues, championing the voices of the people we work with, or helping services grow and improve, she consistently makes a positive difference.

Leanne’s achievement reflects the values at the heart of Advocacy Focus, putting people first, working together and striving to create positive change. Her leadership has helped strengthen our organisation and the support we provide across our communities.

We are incredibly proud of everything Leanne has achieved and grateful for the passion, energy, and commitment she brings to Advocacy Focus every day.

Congratulations to Leanne, and to all the finalists and winners at this year’s Sub36 Awards. We look forward to seeing what comes next for this exceptional group of Lancashire leaders.

The event took place at Park Hall Resort & Spa, with support from category sponsors 24hr Healthcare, Amplify Business Success, Bigtank, The Fun Experts, Hatfields Jaguar Land Rover Preston, Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub and Westholme School.
