Are you looking to volunteer for a local charity that is making a difference in Lancashire, St Helens and Salford and want to give back to your community?
Volunteering is your chance to make a real difference in your local community. Join a friendly, passionate, and motivated team to support people to live the lives they want to live. You will learn new skills whilst developing your knowledge of advocacy and the health and social care sector.

You don’t need to be an advocacy expert; empathy matters more than academic qualifications or professional experience, and we are keen to hear from people of all ages and walks of life.
We have volunteering roles to suit everyone. All we ask is that you are willing to give us a small amount of your time and in return we will invest in your personal and professional development.
Volunteering benefits go both ways, helping others can be the best way to help ourselves.
Here’s what our volunteers have to say about volunteering for Advocacy Focus:
“If it wasn’t for the volunteering experience Advocacy Focus has given me, in terms of hands-on experience with patients on the hospitals, I would not have secured a masters place at university.”
“Due to my own struggles, and personal experience with mental health I felt inspired to help others believe that anything is possible. I have a genuine interest and passion in helping other people and more specifically those struggling with ill mental health. Volunteering with Advocacy Focus has given me that opportunity to give back to others”
If you are unsure what volunteer role would be the best fit for you, or believe you have a skill we could benefit from, you can email our Volunteer Manager here or give us a call on 0300 323 0965.

At Advocacy Focus, we support people to speak up and be listened to. We want to make sure their views and wishes are heard and taken seriously. Advocacy puts people at the heart of decisions that are being made which affect their lives. We are inviting organisations to help transform lives through their commitment to corporate social responsibility and partner with us.
We’d love you to get in touch!
